Crystal Legacy - Generation 2 (Part 8)

In a desperate attempt to save her dying mother, Spinel Crystal chases a rumor into the unknown Magical Realm, a place beyond time. There, she finds much, much more than she ever bargained for.
Honeydew: Probably not. But hey–she called us this time, so I’ll take it.

Tourmaline: Yeah, yeah. Spi! Slow down, pinky!

Spinel: How about you move faster, grape!
Tourmaline: Oh you better hope I don’t catch up.

-

Spinel: It’s still here!
Spinel: It’s still here!

Honeydew: …holy…

Tourmaline: Fudge. You were telling the truth…
Honeydew: This is…how the…this can’t be real–ow!

Tourmaline: It’s real. This is real. I…
Tourmaline: How does it work?

Spinel: Just walk through it.

Honeydew: That’s it? No chants or rituals or–anything?

Spinel: Nope! Just walk right on through.
Honeydew: Oh, I wish I’d brought a camera…

Tourmaline: Be here when we get back, Spi, or I will push you off that edge.

Spinel: *laugh* Get going, dorks.
Spinel: I’ll be right here when you come back.

-

Spinel: *humming*
*portal buzzes*

Tourmaline: Oh, Watcher, that was–

Honeydew: That was amazing and I can’t believe it was real and–

*laughter*
Spinel: I know that laugh. Sage Silverwater!

Stone: Spinel! Oh, my dear girl, you are certainly looking well.
Stone: Here, let me–yes, yes, still as strong a girl as I recall! *laughter* It has been too long, my child.

Spinel: Longer for you than me!
Honeydew: You think…

Tourmaline: Yeah.
Spinel: Thank you so much for coming…it’ll mean so much to her to see you again.

Stone: I would not miss this for the world, my dear. Now–come. I imagine we have quite the journey ahead of us!
Stone: The world has certainly changed since I last saw it. This used to be only empty desert.

Spinel: It’s still like that outside of town, if you’re that nostalgic.
Stone: Ha! I would rather see my daughter.

Aurora: Keep this up, Spi, and you’ll be late to your own wedding. Is this…

Spinel: Mm-hmm!
Stone: A pleasure to meet you, Madam Crystal. You have a wonderful daughter.

Aurora: Wonderful and stubborn.

Spinel: I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Stone: All children are like that at some point. You raised her well.

Aurora: Well, thank you. Firefly should be ready soon, but this one–excuse us.
Aurora: March, young lady!

Spinel: Going, going!

Stone: *chuckle*
Opal: Are you nervous?

Firefly: Not at all. It feels natural to take her name. I love her with all of my heart. I just wish…
Opal: You just wish…?

Firefly: I wish Father were here.
Firefly: I knew that leaving the Realm would mean never seeing him again, but I did not expect it to be so…painful.

Opal: Losing a parent always is, sweetheart, even if he’s still alive. Still, he’s with you. The ones we love always are.
*knock on door*

Opal: Just a second! …There. Pretty as a picture. Let me see what’s going on out there…

Firefly: Thank you, Opal.
Opal: Ro, what–oh! You’re–

Stone: And you must be the other Madam Crystal. Spinel spoke of you often.

Firefly: That voice…
Opal: How are you…Spinel.

Stone: Her plan, her sister’s action. You raised wonderful daughters.

Aurora: Opal! Need an extra set of hands here!

Opal: Sometimes you wouldn’t know it. Go on–she’s waiting for you.
Firefly: –Father?!

Stone: Oh…oh, my darling girl…look at you…
Firefly: I…how are you…

Stone: Spinel took matters into her own hands, it would seem…oh, my girl…you make a beautiful bride…
Stone: Your parents would be so proud of you.

Firefly: Thank you…are you? Proud, I mean.
Stone: I could not be prouder. I…*sniff*

Firefly: Father! Oh, please do not cry, I–
Stone: You misunderstand, child…these are tears of joy! To see you again on such a momentous day…
Stone: Firefly…my little firefly…there has been no greater honor than having the privilege to call you my own.

Firefly: Father…
Stone: To know you will be safe, and loved…it means everything, my girl.

Firefly: I’ve missed you.
Stone: And I you. Here–a gift. So you can always remember us.

Firefly: As if I could ever forget you…I love you, Father.

Stone: I love you, my darling girl.
Firefly: Will you tell the others I hope they are doing well?

Stone: I will. Now–no more tears. Today is a happy day!
Aurora: Did you know she was planning this?

Opal: She didn’t say a word about it. *laugh* We raised one hell of a girl, didn’t we.

Aurora: I’ll say.
Spinel: Oh, wow…’Fly, you look amazing…

Firefly: As do you. Shall we?
Comet: Ever think this would happen?

Dusk: Never.
Dawn: It’s a good surprise, though. They deserve this.

-

Stone: They are a wonderful family.

Firefly: They are.
Firefly: I could not be happier than to be marrying into this family. They took me when they did not have to, and…

Stone: You love her.

Firefly: With all my heart.
Firefly: She is my other half, and I am hers.
Stone: Good. A love such as that will survive any hardship. You deserve it, my girl.
Stone: Now…it is time.

Firefly: It is. I love you, Father. Thank you for being there…for everything.

Stone: My greatest treasure.
My love, I choose you.
We shall walk side by side, through sunshine and storms…
Health and illness, in good times and in bad…
We will meet whatever comes together…
My love, I choose you to be my partner in life, now and always.
Our love endures, forever and a day.

Stone: …Yes. This will be a good life. May it treat you well, my darling.
Firefly: Thank you, for bringing my father here.

Spinel: I figured you’d want him here. I’m just glad it worked out.
Firefly: …Spinel, there is something I must tell you.

Spinel: What is it?
Spinel: Is everything okay?

Firefly: Yes, I…I just wish for you to know everything.
Spinel: Of course.

Firefly: …my birth parents were King Monarch and Queen Corona of the Sylvan Glade. I…I am the last Queen of the Fae.
Spinel: The…Queen?

Firefly: Yes. By blood and birthright. Marrying me makes you a Princess and…I..well, I thought you deserved to know that.
Spinel: Oh…oh, wow…

Firefly: I am sorry I did not tell you before. There are none of my people left, and I thought that…
Spinel: You were scared?

Firefly: …Perhaps, yes. I know it is foolish of me but…

Spinel: Nah.
Spinel: You’re my queen, ‘Fly. That’s never changed.

Firefly: *laugh* Do not call me Majesty, Spinel, or I will show you just how strong a Queen of the Fae can be.
Spinel: You already have. Everything you’ve gone through…you’re amazing, ‘Fly. I’m so glad we got to meet, and fall in love, and…I can’t imagine my life without you.

Firefly: Nor I without you.
Firefly: I do not know what awaits us, but there is no one else I would face it with.

Spinel: Forever and a day, right?
Firefly: Forever and a day.
Snow: You know you two don’t have to stay here. You can go on ahead.

Lemon: And leave you alone? Come on, Snow. We weren’t neighbors for fifteen years to run off on you now!
Nebula: And it does not seem that we have long to wait, regardless.
Snow: Rain!

Rainbow: Oh, Nikan…

Snow: I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to leave you on your own…
Rainbow: It is alright. We are together again now.

Nebula: And we will all stay together from now on. Come, both of you. It is time to go.
Lemon: Hopefully the kids take a while to catch up.

Nebula: I believe they will. They have much of their lives ahead of them now. We will see them again, but there is no need to rush.
Snow: Rain? …Do you want to wait for them?

Rainbow: Hm? Oh, no…I was simply taking a moment to wish them well. I know we will see them again someday.
Snow: Yeah, we will. Now come on–we’ve got a whole new world to explore. Together, this time.
Rainbow:  Together. I rather like the sound of that.

Snow: I hoped you would!  Let’s go.

[End Gen 2]
